There will be no compromise in security: Home Minister
Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula has said that sporadic incidents of violence would not affect the election.
“The armed movement of Terai will not obstruct the election. Wherever the Maoists have posed obstructions, the government will not remain silent. They must improve immediately,” Sitaula told reporters in Jhapa.
He also pointed out the need to continue the existing understanding among the seven parties.
“We have to have a long cooperation. Otherwise, republic and lasting peace cannot be established,” he said.
He also said that the government will adopt special strategy to provide security to poll candidates.
