Election marred by threats will not reflect true public opinion, says Thapa
Former prime minister and president of Rastriya Janashakti Party (RJP)
Surya Bahadur Thapa has said that if the election continues to be marred
by threats and intimidation, then the constitution written after the
election would not reflect the true public opinion.
Speaking at an election rally in Sidhwa bazaar in Dhankuta, Tuesday, Thapa
asked the government to immediately restore law and order.
He also urged all concerned to abandon anarchic activities and work
towards building new Nepal.
Thapa is contesting the April 10 election from constituency 2 of Dhankuta.
He said he decided to contest the election despite old age because he
wanted to be a part of process to make new Nepal. nepalnews.com sd Mar 26
