NBA for suspension of court hearing for polls
The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) has requested the Supreme Court, District and Appellate courts to suspend all hearings at least for next two weeks so that the lawyers could go for observation and campaigning for the polls.
The NBA, On Wednesday, urged the courts to suspend hearing from March 28 until April 12.
The Supreme Court has not responded but said it would decide after consultation with the justices.
Several lawyers have been included in the list of parties as candidates for proportional and first-past-the-post categories and have to leave the capital for polls campaign in districts. The lawyers individually also urged the court to decide on the matter soon.
The NBA also urged all to help hold the constituent assembly elections in free and fair manner. nepalnews.com ia Mar 27 08
