Kidnapped Nepali worker freed in Afghanistan
Afghan security forces have freed a Nepali and an Indian worker kidnapped
by a criminal gang in Heart province, officials said.
Karna Bahadur Gurung, a Nepali road worker who was kidnapped along with
his Indian colleague from Herat, was freed in a raid by Afghan security
officials on Sunday, reports said.
The two were taken away from a vehicle while traveling on a highway on
April 21.
"The security forces freed them from the kidnappers in an operation,"
reports quoted Habib Habib, the head of intelligence department in Heart,
as saying.
He informed that the two were recovered from a cave in Herat's Shindand
