Refugee resettlement hits private schools
Private schools in Sidhuli have begun to face the shortage of teachers after Bhutanese refugees began to leave for third country settlement.
According to The Kathmandu post, over three dozen Bhutanese refugees who had been teaching in the districts have already left from over a dozen schools following resettlement process to US and other countries from early this year.
Many others are also on plan to leave their job creating acute shortage of teachers.
Most private schools in Nepal, including in Kathmandu valley, hire Bhutanese refugee teachers, who work on low wages.
