Six killed in Tanahun bus accident

At least six people were killed and over 40 others injured when a minibus met with an accident at Ghansikuwa of Tanahu district Tuesday morning.

The bus en route to Gorkha from Pokhara slipped off the road and fell into a gorge, killing two passengers on the spot. Four others died while being rushed to hospitals in Pokhara and Damauli, reports said.

Three of the deceased have been identified as Krishna Bastakoti, Devi Dhamal and Purnima Gurung, all of them from Kaski district, while the identity of three others is yet to be ascertained.

37 injured passengers have been taken to Pokhara for treatment and seven are being treated in Damauli. nepalnews.com May 20 08
