CA meeting delayed again as parties continue talks in Baluwatar
The constituent assembly session, re-sheduled for 3 pm Wednesday due to political leaders failing to reach an agreement during consultation in Baluwatar, is set to be further delayed as no breakthrough appears in sight yet.
Nepal Workers and Peasant Party leader Prem Suwal, who is one of the participants in the meeting in Baluwatar right now, said the parties have still not arrived at a consensus on rights and responsibility of president and nomination of 26 CA members, hence causing delay in the first CA meeting.
After the political leaders reach an understanding on the contentious issue, the cabinet meeting is expected to start at the CA venue itself and endorse the decision of the meeting and also prepare a proposal on implementation of republic to be adopted by the CA. nepalnews.com ag May 28 08
