UML strongman hits at NC, Maoists
The general secretary of the Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) Jhal Nath Khanal has hit at Maoists and Nepali Congress (NC) for what he called as their ‘extremist politics.’
Referring to the problem of the special committee, Khanal said that the peace process was being obstructed due to obstinate stance of the two parties.
He deplored the Maoists for saying that all of their UNMIN-verified combatants should be integrated into Nepali Army.
He also deplored the NC for saying that none of the combatants should be integrated.
“We had reached seven point understanding in the past based on which some will be integrated and some will be rehabilitated. Those passing the national standards can be integrated into army while others will be rehabilitated,” he said. nepalnews.com sd Nov 04 08
