Nepal proposes to host BIMSTEC Tourism Center
Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav, Wednesday, proposed to host the Tourism Center of BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation).
He put forth the proposal while addressing the BIMSTEC ministerial meeting in New Delhi.
The ministerial meeting approved his proposal and forwarded it for further discussion.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will address the second summit of BIMSTEC – a regional initiative formed to promote economic cooperation including tourism.
There are seven member states of BIMSTEC including Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan and Nepal. nepalnews.com sd Nov 13 08
