Khanal alleges NC, Maoists to be extremists
General Secretary of CPN-UML Jhala Nath Khanal has alleged Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist) of being extremists on integration and rehabilitation of the Maoist combatants into the national army.
NC's stance not to allow PLA integration into the Nepal Army and Maoist’s stressing to induct all of them are extremist ideas, Khanal told reporters in Ilam Friday morning.
He asked both the parties to work by the agreement reached in the past so as to find solution to the problem amicably.
Khanal further asked NC to join the government and cooperate with other parties in drafting the new constitution within the timeframe.
Hinting at the increasing incidents of conflict in eastern hills cause by Kirat Workers Party and other groups, he warned the government would not be mum against any attempt of armed rebellion. He said armed rebellion is not solution to any problem. nepalnews.com ia Nov 14 08
