NC central leader Kami passes away

Nepali Congress (NC) central leader and president of the NC-affiliated Nepal Dalit Association, Dal Singh Kami, passed away on Monday at the age of 68.

Kami, who had been suffering from kidney problems since last two years, died while undergoing treatment at Om Hospital, Kathmandu.

NC president Girija Prasad Koirala, senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and other leaders went to Om Hospital to pay tribute to Kami.

Late Kami spent eight years in exile during the struggle for democracy and served jail terms in Nepal. He is survived by four sons and five daughters. nepalnews.com Nov 23 08
