Himalayan Blues Festival 2008 around the corner
The end of Dashain is going to start the vibes of Blues Music in Kathmandu
with the Himalayan Blues Festival 2008, an annual event with international
and local musicians performing from 15th to 19th October.
Some of the musicians include Pugsley Buzzard, Owen Campbell and Jonno
Zilber from Australia, Kenn Lending from Denmark, Chris Schreiner Project
from the USA and local bands like Looza, Jocose and others.
The different venues for Festival include Patan Durbar Museum, Garden of
Dreams, 1905 Restaurant, Walter Restaurant, Bar at Babar Mahal Revisited
and various other junctions like Salt n Pepper, Bhumi and Dela Soul.
This event is presented by "Blue Music Room" and its supporters include
Nepalnews.com, Signature, Tuborg, US Embassy, Nepal Tourism Board, Nepal
Music Center, Dwarikas's Hotel, Audio Active Studio and others.
The motive of Himalayan Blues Festival is to promote Blues and Live music
