Skydivers set new record, make free fall from above Everest
Three skydivers have set a new world record by making a free fall from 1000 feet above the Mount Everest, Sunday.
The three adventurers include Holly Budge from Britain, Windy Smith of New Zealand and Neil Jones of Canada.
The divers were released from a Pilatus Porter plane flown to Everest region from Switzerland for the purpose.
“We had one minute of free fall and while we were above the clouds you could see Everest and other high mountains popping out of the top,” Budge is quoted as saying by agency reports.
The skydiving trip has been organized by a British adventure travel company High and Wild and it has brought 32 aspirants who will take their opportunity in the next few days. nepalnews.com Oct 06 08
