Nepal National Football team leaves for Malaysia

Nepal national football team has left, Monday, for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to take part in prestigious Merdeka Cup Football Tournament.

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) President Ganesh Thapa, Vice President Lalit Krishna Shrestha, Treasurer Birat Jung Shahi and other officials bade farewell to the team at ANFA Complex, Satdobato, Lalitpur.

The newly appointed caretaker coach Krishna Thapa, who himself took part in the Merdeka Cup 25 years ago as a player, selected Bikash Malla, and Ritesh Thapa as goalkeepers. Rakesh Shrestha, Chun Bahadur Thapa, Sagar Thapa, Bikash Singh Chetri, Suman Subedi, Biraj Maharjan, Anjan K.C, Rabin Shrestha have been selected as defenders, while Ranjit Shrestha, Sandeev Rai, Bhola Silwal, Bishan Gauchan, Bijaya Gurung, Nirajan Khadka have been selected as mid fielders.
