UML to head towards presidential form

The Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) party has decided to head towards the presidential form.

Clarifying the decisions made by the national conference of the cadres of the UML, Friday evening, party leader Iswor Pokharel said that it concluded to further democratize the party structure.

“In the process of democratization, the party has decided to go for multi-position system,” Pokharel said, indicating that it would ditch the current general secretarial system of party hierarchy.
