TMLP walks out of house on third day as well
The Terai-Madhes Loktantrik Party (TMLP) boycotted deliberations at the constituent assembly session for the third consecutive day, Tuesday, alleging the government of ignoring the murder of two of its cadres in Kapilvastu.
The party has warned to obstruct the proceedings of the house session from Wednesday, where discussions are underway on new budget, if the government continued to turn deaf ear to its demand for investigation into the incident.
The party has also demanded arrest and actions against those involved in murder of its cadres.
Before walking out the house Tuesday, TMLP leader Hridayesh Tripathi said the government remained silent towards party's call for actions against the murderers.
An armed group had shot dead two party cadres Sarullah Musalman and Ram Prasad Kurmi Chaudhary in Kapilvastu last week.
Speaking at the special hour of the parliament session today, lawmakers of the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) criticised the Maoists for not abiding by their words. UML leaders asked the Maoist leadership to control the unruly activities of the Young Communist League (YCL) while Nepali Congress lawmakers drew attention on implementation of the past commitments such as return of the seized properties and return of the displaced people to their villages. nepalnews.com ia Oct 21 08
