Devkota Jayanti in Moscow

International Nepali Literary Society, Moscow, celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of the late Mahakabi Laxmi Prasad Devkota by organising poem recital symposium.

A large number of Nepalese staying in the Russian capital including journalists, businessmen, women, children and literatures and Russians attended the function.

Chief editor of freenepal.com, a Nepali language news portal operated from Russia, Madhu Madhurya, called on the writers to contribute their articles for upcoming magazine on Nepali literature beyond Nepal.

After the literary festival, the INLS Moscow chapter has been reshuffled under the leadership of Madhurya. Similarly, Saraswati Khatiwada has been elected as vice president, Damodar Bashyal as secretary and Dilli Kharel as treasurer of the new committee.
