Curfew re-imposed in Dhankuta

Dhankuta district administration has re-imposed indefinite curfew in the district headquarters from 7 a.m. Monday due to continued clash between the Young Communist League and Youth Force.

The district administration had relaxed the curfew, imposed since Sunday, for an hour this morning. However, as the clash between the two sides resumed at Manchok of the bazaar area, local authority again announced curfew for an indefinite period.

A cadre of Young Communist League Kamal Rai was injured during the clash and has been taken to B. P. Koirala hospital in Dharan, referred by Dhankuta hospital, for treatment.

Police said Youth Force cadres attack Rai while he was at the bazaar for shopping during curfew relaxed hours. A policeman was also been injured during the scuffle. nepalnews.com ia Sep 01 08
