Policies and programmes to be finalised on Monday

The partners of the ruling coalition are set to finalise the government's policies and programmes on Monday.

The meeting among the top leaders of the coalitions partners such as Maoists, Unified Marxist Leninist (UML), Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF), Nepal Sadbhavana Party, CPN-United, and Jana Morcha will be held on Monday to finalise the text of the government policies and programmes.

It could not be discussed Sunday as the meeting ended up informally, said Minister Rajendra Mahato, who also heads Nepal Sadbhavana Party.

On Monday, the meeting is also expected to discuss about formation of high level political committee (which is envisaged in the common minimum programme to provide policy recommendations to the functioning of the government) as well as the new budget and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda's' forthcoming visit to India.
