Nepal to be chief of political committee of ruling parties
The political parties in the ruling coalition have almost reached an understanding to name former general secretary of CPN UML Madhav Kumar Nepal as the chief of political committee of the ruling coalition.
The committees, with senior leaders from all parties in the government, will advice government on governance and decisions on issues of national importance.
The coalition partners had agreed to form a political committee to advice the government on major issues of governance which is likely to be finalised by Monday's cabinet meeting.
According to reports, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal propose Nepal as the chief of political committee during a meeting with ministers on Sunday.
