Rawal apologises for mistakes

With the rising demand from party leaders and cadres for action against the party's undisciplined seniors, central committee member of the CPN (UML) Bhim Rawal sought apology at the party meeting for his mistakes.

During Tuesday's meeting, the UML leaders discussed the ways to maintain discipline in the party amidst accusations that senior leaders are acting against party interest and rules.

Rawal attended Tuesday’s meeting and sought apology. He had campaigned against party leadership alleging discrimination against Karnali region while nominating ministers for new government.

However, two other leaders -- Sahana Pradhan and Pradeep Nepal – against whom voices have been raised remained absent. Sahana is accused of speaking against party line during the presidential election while Nepal faces criticism for leading delegation to Beijing Olympics even after resigning as minister.
