No agreement will be signed during PM's India visit
The government today decided not to go for any bilateral agreement during
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's visit to India.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers on Sunday took this decision.
According to ministers, the decision was taken as the government would
need to forge national consensus before going for any agreement with a
foreign country.
PM Dahal is leaving for New Delhi at 5 this evening, leading a 44-member
entourage comprised of foreign, communication, water resources and
supplies ministers and senior government officials.
On the second day in Delhi, the PM will hold separate meetings with Indian
President Pratibha Patil, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Indian premier Dr
Man Mohan Singh, chief of the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA)
Soniya Gandhi and L.K Advani, the leader of main opposition Bharatiya
Janata Party (BJP). nepalnews.com mk Sept 14 08
