FNJ condemns attack on journo

Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) on Friday condemned the attack on journalist D.B Thokar, editor of Janapratirodh weekly, in Kavre district.

Issuing a statement, the umbrella organisation of journalists said two local youths named Raj Kumar and Mahabir thrashed Thokar at Chaitanya Road at about 10 pm. Thursday.

FNJ has asked the government to arrest the guilty and punish them as per the law of the land. It has also asked the government to create conducive environment for journalists to carry out their professional duty. nepalnews.com ag Sep 20 08
