NEPSE gains over 8 points
After remaining in correction mode for two weeks, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index gained 8.19 points this week to touch 1004.28 points, on Thursday, the last day for stock trading.
Trade analysts attributed the rise to investors coming to terms with the government’s policies and programmes for the current fiscal year. They were earlier skeptical of the government’s financial policies.
454,207 shares worth Rs 497.6 million were traded through 3703 transactions during the week. Trading in terms of transaction amount dropped by 49.89 percent this week. nepalnews.com Sep 21 08
