President Yadav in Janakpur
President Dr Ram Baran Yadav arrived in his home town Janakpur, Dhanusa district, Monday afternoon.
This is his first visit to his home town after he was elected as the first President of Federal Republic of Nepal.
Soon after his arrival in Janakpur, Yadav visited the local Janaki temple and performed puja there. Reports said a group waved black flag to the President, in a sign of protest, when he was returning from the temple.
Police said it was not immediately clear who the protesters were or what they were protesting for.
The President is to attend a civic felicitation programme to be organised by Janakpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries in his honour today. nepalnews.com mk Sept 22 08
