Morang by-election candidate assaulted; Biratnagar remains shut in protest

An election candidate of Morang – 7 representing Chure Bhawar Party has been assaulted by an unidentified group Monday night.

Cadres of Chure Bhawar Ekata Samaj have obstructed transportation and shut down market in Biratnagar and other towns of Morang in protest of the assault, Tuesday morning.

The unidentified group also vandalised party constituency office located at Chandni Chowk, Biratnagar and set ablaze the party flag.
