Pact to attract Chinese investment and tourists
Nepal China Executives Councils (NCEC) and Chinese Peoples Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in a bid to lure Chinese investment and tourists in Nepal.
As per the agreement, a joint committee will be formed to attract Chinese investment in Nepal focusing on increasing exports to China.
The agreement also highlights promotional program in China to attract Chinese tourists in Nepal, cooperation to establish a sister relationship of Bhaktapur and Bharatpur with similar cities of China, implementation of projects to help improve life of rural people and cooperation to provide experts and volunteers to Nepal.
In the same vein, the NCEC and the CPAFFC will also make endeavours to facilitate economic, educational, cultural and administrative ties between the countries. nepalnews.com Apr 07 09
