Maoist candidate Santosh Budhamagar elected CA member from Rolpa
The Unified CPN (Maoist) candidate Santosh Budhamagar has been elected CA
member from Rolpa 2 by securing 19933 votes.
His nearest rival Hari Prasad Gharti secured 6133 votes. Nepali Congress
candidate Gangaram Dangi fared third with 4791 votes.
Prime Minister and chairman of the Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal had won from
this constituency in the CA elections last year.
With this the Maoists have won three seats in the recent by-elections for
six vacant CA seats. UML, NC and MJF won one each.
Vote counting had been stalled throughout the day Saturday due to a feud
between the contending parties. The counting started after they reached an
