35,000 visit Agro Expo 2009
Some 35,000 people visited the fourth 'Agro-Expo 2009' which concluded on Tuesday in the capital during five days of exhibition.
During the five-day exhibition, featured stalls belonging to Micro-Enterprise Development Programme (MEDEP) were seen selling their products worth as much as Rs 5,000 every day.
Even though the plan was made to make the expo more successful with 180 stalls, around 60 stalls could not take part in the expo due to lack of cooperation from the government, it is reported.
According to the FNCCI, the organizer of the expo, the government was unable to allocate budget to provide subsidies to exhibitors who were supposed to travel to Kathmandu from various part of the country to take part in the expo. nepalnews.com Apr 14 09
