Unified CPN-M 'expels' Matrika Yadav
The Unified CPN (Maoist) has said it has 'expelled' politburo member and Constituent Assembly member Matrika Yadav, for "indiscipline and unruly
behavior".
Party spokesperson Dina Nath Sharma said after a meeting of the central
secretariat on Saturday that Yadav has been relived of all his
responsibilities in the party. However, the party could reconsider on the
action against Yadav if he regrets his actions, Sharma informed.
Yadav, former minister and a well-known political figure from Terai, in a
press conference in the capital on Wednesday had announced that he had
quit the Unified CPN (Maoist) accusing its leadership of comprising the
revolutionary image of the party.
Yadav had also been opposing the idea of unification between the Maoist
party and Unity Centre (Masal). nepalnews.com mk Feb 14 09
