Oli says he's won 'ideological race'
Indirectly accepting the likely defeat in the race for chairmanship of the CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli has stated even if he looses the race for the top job, he has won the race of 'political ideology'.
Talking to journalists at the convention center in Butwal Tuesday morning, Oli said he has been pushed to the crusade of political betting in the contest. However, he said he has won in the ideological battle since the issue he raised for multiple posts in the party has been adopted after the eighth convention.
Oli was hopeful that his aide in other posts will win the race.
Similarly, Jhala Nath Khanal, who has been leading the race since the vote count began, said his victory in the party will herald unity and cooperation. Saying that he would work according to the mandate of the convention to accommodate all’s views, Khanal said he would work for progress of the party.
He said he is sure of his victory. nepalnews.com ia Feb 24 09
