Hadikhola hydel to produce power soon

The Upper Hadikhola Micro Hydro Project at Thangpaldhap of Sindhupalchock is set to go online before February 16, according to media reports.

The Rs 160 million project, which was commenced in November 2007, with private investment, would produce one Megawatt (MW) electricity.

Reports have it that the Hydropower Development Division have already decided to purchase the electricity at Rs 4.44 per unit.

The power generated by the project would be linked to the national transmission line after its completion. The project would also benefit a dozen of VDCs of Sindhupalchock and some others of Kavre district. nepalnews.com Jan 19 09
