Open Software Challenge 2009 to be held
To encourage and inspire youths of Nepal to be involved in software development, a competition named "Open Software Challenge Nepal 2009" is being organised to uplift the steadily growing Open Source market of the country.
This competition is divided into three parts: first, participants must submit their proposal within the specified date; second, if the proposal is selected, participants have to prepare their software as per the proposal and third; a top 10 final projects will be selected by the organizers and the participants must present their final software in front of the judging panel. Top 3 projects will be selected by the jury for the final award.
The criteria to select the top three projects by the jury are concept or business challenge, project size, collaboration, technical competence, engineering approach of project development, completeness, project presentation and other related issues.
