Yadav roots for national consensus govt
Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) chairman Upendra Yadav has said that there is no alternative to a national consensus government to bail the country out from the current turmoil.
He said that only after the parties unanimously agree on a national government will the issue of who would lead that government be sorted out.
Talking to reporters in Birgunj, Yadav said that the border problem with India should be resolved through diplomatic means.
Yadav is in Birgunj from the past few days to participate in an interaction organized to restructure the organizational base of the party that has become weak after the party suffered a vertical split over the issue of joining the UML-led government.
On Wednesday, Jai Prakash Prasad Gupta, joint chair of the Yadav-led faction of MJF, said in Birgunj that the parliament has recognized party chairman Upendra Yadav as the legitimate MJF parliamentary party leader.
He informed that Speaker Subas Nemwang handed over an official letter in this regard to Yadav on Tuesday. nepalnews.com July 02 09
