Senior leader of Unified CPN (Maoist) Mohan Baidhya have accused other political parties of trying to establish presidential rule in the country.
Inability of the UML-led coalition government has aptly given the proof that the country is being led to a presidential rule, he stated.
Speaking at a programme organised in the capital Thursday, he reiterated the need to form new government under the leadership of the Maoists adding that UML leadership failed to form a government of national consensus.
He suggested resignation of the current government as if failed to take any decision in regard to presidential move who reinstituted Chief of Army Staff (CoAS)- sacked by the Maoist-led government.
Speaking at the same programme, central committee member of Nepali Congress (NC) Dr. Ram Saran Mahat said the government will bring the budget through ordinance even if Maoists continue to obstruct the House.
Dr. Mahat urged the Maoists to join the government to make it a government of national consensus. "If political parties take a stronger stance, there won't be any chances of foreign interference into the internal affairs" he opined.
Responding to the questions by journalists, he said it would be unacceptable for the Nepali people to see frequent change of government. nepalnews.com ss Jul 02 09
