Ian Martin meets Koirala

Former chief of the United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN), Ian Martin, met Nepali Congress president and former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala at the latter's residence in Maharajgunj Saturday.

The meeting dwelled mainly on the impacts of the recent political developments on the peace process, especially the integration of the Maoist People's Liberation Army (PLA), it is learnt.

Martin is currently on an informal trip to Kathmandu. On Thursday, he had met senior Maoist leader Dr Baburam Bhattarai to discuss Nepal's peace process.
