Nepali Congress reaping benefit from UML-Maoist fight: Gautam video
UML vice-chairman Bam Dev Gautam has claimed that the Nepali Congress has been instigating animosity between the UML and the Maoists for its own political gain.
Addressing a gathering of UML cadres from Dhankuta district in the capital
Saturday, Gautam, who led the UML in the erstwhile Maoist-led government
as deputy prime minister, said there should be unity between the communist parties to foil the NC's strategy.
Gautam maintained that new constitution drafting process cannot move ahead
by keeping the Maoists in the opposition bench.
He also claimed that a section of the UML was trying to divide the party
by spreading rumours that he is preparing to join the Maoist party.
Gautam, who is unhappy with the UML-NC alliance, has not been active in the party's works since the collapse of the Maoist-led government. nepalnews.com July 04 09
