Tibetan exiles buckle up to wage 'free Tibet' movement

Tibetan refugees in Nepal are again preparing to start 'Free Tibet' campaign coinciding with the birth anniversary of their religious leader Dalai Lama.

Dalai Lama is celebrating his 74th birthday anniversary on Monday, July 6.

Kantipur quoted intelligence sources as saying that hundreds of Tibetan refugees living in India have already arrived in Kathmandu and more are coming to intensify the protest against Chinese rule in Tibet.

Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) chairman Chewang Rinjin and Tibetan Women Association (TWA)'s Chiring Yangjom will lead the protest campaign, according to the daily.

The two had arrived in Kathmandu a week ago and are said to be making necessary preparation for the camapaign.

The paper also reported that the announcement of the protest movement will be made from the mountainous district of Mustang which has close linkages with Tibet. nepalnews.com
