Parliament's budget session starts video
The legislature parliament's budget session started from Wednesday. Speaker Subash Nemwang informed the House about the President's letter asking the parliament secretariat to start the budget session.
Nemwang also informed that President Dr Ram Baran Yadav would present the policies and programmes of the new government at 4 pm Thursday. Preparations for tomorrow's proceedings have already been completed, he said.
Later, speaker Nemwang announced the adjournment of the session till Thursday afternoon.
As per the schedule prepared by the secretariat, the House would endorse the policies and programmes on July 12 and Finance Minister Surendra Pandey will present the budget for new fiscal year the next day.
The budget session has started soon after the end of the winter session which saw weeks of obstruction from the Unified CPN (Maoist).
The winter session had prorogued on Monday after the Prime Minister addressed the House, agreeing to fulfill the Maoist demands within a month. nepalnews.com
