Communal politics will drag the country down: Koirala
Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala has said politics based on ethnicity and communality will only create more problems in the country.
Koirala, however, expressed his belief that communal politics will not thrive if the political parties become cautious about the harm it could do to the country.
The NC strongman was speaking to reporters and party workers at his ancestral home in Biratnagar where he arrived Friday afternoon.
He maintained that the main problem facing the nation currently is the increasing divide between the rich and the poor and that nation would proper only when this divide is bridged.
