NC district prez attacked by Maoists

Maoist cadres have assaulted Nepali Congress district president Mukti Prasad Nyaupane in Kalikot, Sunday.

Local leaders of the Unified CPN (Maoist) and its sister organisation Youth Communist League (YCL) attacked Nyaupane with rods and khukuris as he was going to district headquarter Manma from his home in Badalkot.

Police deployed from the headquarters rescued Nyaupane and admitted him to the hospital.
