Maoist cadre assaulted by UML cadres succumbs to injuries

A Maoist cadre, who was injured due to assaults by UML cadres in Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal’s home district Rautahat, has died in Kathmandu on Friday, a Maoist CA member said.

Ladai Sah, 50, of Pataura VDC was injured after UML cadres assaulted him following the arrest of two Maoist affiliated Young Communist League (YCL) cadres for showing black flag to the PM during his visit to Rautahat on Sunday, Nagarik daily reported.

“UML cadres including Youth Force cadres assaulted Sah and his son, the same day the YCL cadres showed black flag (to the Prime Minister),” Maoist CA member Prabhu Narayan Sah told Nagarik daily. “He died in the course of treatment.”
