NPC thrashes NTSC
Jumanu Rai scored four goals alone as Nepal Police Club (NPC) thrashed arch-rival Nabil Three Star Club (NTSC) 5-1 to win the title of Nepatop Players' Cup charity football tournament.
Parbat Pandey added another for the police team. Yougal Kishor Rai scored a consolation goal for NTSC through a spot kick. The match was dominated by police team which also utilized the blunder of NTSC goalie Sanjeeb Shrestha to register high flying margin.
Jumanu scored his first goal in 24th minute and doubled the tally in the 47th minute. He completed his hat trick two minutes later and scored the fourth in the 55th minute.
Nepal National and International Players Association organized the charity match to collect funds for ailing Dinesh Baniya, who needs kidney transplant.
Meanwhile, after the match, players from both teams went around the stadium to asking for donation for ailing Baniya and collected Rs 36,535 from the spectators. nepalnews.com bt Jun 28 09
