NEPSE loses 4.26 points
The capital market showed no signs of recovery as it started the week with yet another dismal performance.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index registered another decline of 4.62 points, ending the day’s trading at 666.35 points Sunday.
The NEPSE index had shed 8.62 points during last week’s stock trading.
NEPSE has continued to drop significantly for the last few weeks due to investors being wary over investing in the capital market in the difficult political scenario.
According to the data provided by NEPSE, all the sub-indices declined on Sunday except for the trading sector which posted an increase of 5.48 points to touch 295.83 points.
The sub-indices of banking group and development bank decreased by 6.84 points and 2.98 points to end at 683.37 points and 697.78 points, respectively.
Similarly, finance group and insurance group lost 2.86 points and 1.05 points to end at 680.89 points and 633.07 points, respectively.
A total of 173,319 shares worth Rs 58.14 million were traded through 1,060 transactions on Sunday. nepalnews.com June 29 09
