Special sports concludes

Rajan Budhathoki of Amar Singh Higher Secondary School won gold in boys above-13 Partially Blind Javelin Throw category in the 14th School Level National Special Sports Championship, reports the Kathmandu Post.

Keshav Raj Bikram and Rupak Aryal finished second and third respectively.

In deaf girls' high jump, Tshiring Dokar, Laxmi Maharjan and Saradha Thapa came first, second and third respectively. In the shot put event, Mangal Mukhiya clinched gold while Basanta Thapa and Dinesh Chaudhary won silver and bronze respectively.

In Totally Blind above 13 Boys High Jump Category, Anil Chaudhary leaped ahead of Man Bahadur Chaudhary and Pramod Chaudhary.

Sharmila Lamichane of Bharatpur won the soft-ball among mentally disabled girls between 12-14 years. In the above 16-years, Radhika Thapa, Subhadra Thapa and Punyashwori Shrestha came first, second and third respectively.

Likewise, Bhima Karki capped the gold in the Javelin Throw of the physically disabled girls above 14 years.

Munar Aryal completed the girls 100m race between totally blind ahead of Kusum Chaudhary and Sabitra Poudel to win gold. nepalnews.com June 30 09
