Private and Boarding Schools' Organisation Nepal (PABSON) on Sunday issued
a warning to resort to protests against the government's decision to
charge five percent 'educational service tax'.
While addressing the seventh general assembly of PABSON held in the
capital, PABSON chairman Bhoj Bahadur Shah claimed that the government's
decision to levy tax on education was unpalatable and that the private
schools would have no choice than to launch protest if the decision is not
revoked.
The business entrepreneurs have also already criticised the government for
announcing 5 percent levy on education.
It may be noted that the government has been saying that the private
schools denying paying tax will be prohibited from appearing in the School
