Envoys urge PM to expedite rehabilitation of PLA cadres

Envoys of the USA, the UK and France jointly called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday and urged him expedite the process of rehabilitating PLA cadres staying in cantonment to the society.

Expressing concern over the lack of progress in peace process, the envoys requested PM Dahal to complete the rehabilitation and integration process before the term of UNMIN ends. They also said the recruitment drives in both the armies were against the peace agreement.

French ambassador Gilles-Henry Garault, British ambassador Dr. Andrew Hall and American ambassador Nancy J Powell met PM Dahal in capacity of the ambassadors of permanent member countries of the UN Security Council.

It is learnt, the PM replied that the meeting of the Army Integration Special Committee would take decisions on these issues. nepalnews.com Mar 09 09
