UML, Forum name candidates for by-elections
Unified CPN (UML) and Madhesi Jandadhikar Forum (MJF) have named their candidates for the CA by-elections in six constituencies slated for April 10.
UML has selected Binod Dhakal to contest from Morang-7, Jeevan Ghimire from Morang-5, Raghubir Mahaseth from Dhanusha-5, Shaligram Poudel from Kaski-1, Hari Prasad Gharti Magar from Rolpa-2 and Niru Pal from Kanchanpur-4, according to a press statement issued on Friday by party secretary Yubaraj Gyawali.
Likewise, a meeting of the central working committee of MJF on Friday has chosen Jayaram Yadav from Morang-5, Chum Narayan Tabdar from Morang-7 and Siyaram Ray from Dhanusha-5 to contest the elections. The meeting also decided not to nominate any candidates for Rolpa and Kaski.
The Unified CPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and Terai-Madhesh Loktantrik Parties have already named their candidates for the by-elections.
