FM Yadav, tourism minister Yami interact with NRNs in Germany

Foreign minister Upendra Yadav and tourism minister Hisila Yami have interacted with non-resident Nepalis (NRNs) in Germany, appreciating their support in Nepal's development and urging them for more investment in Nepal.

The two ministers expressed such views at an interaction programme organised by the Non- Resident Nepali Association (NRNA)-Germany last week, in Berlin.

Minister Yadav reiterated that Nepal will introduce the policy of dual citizenship and issue an NRN law to create an investment friendly environment, at the programme.

He also said a separate NRNA division had been set up at the foreign ministry.

Minister Yadav had gone to Berlin to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between Nepal and Germany.

Thanking the NRNs for donating trolleys for the International Airport in Kathmandu, tourism minister Yami requested everyone's support to make Nepal Tourism Year 2011 a grand success. She also appreciated the NRNs for publishing the "NRN Nepal guide book" in partnership with NTB.

Yami was on visit to Berlin to participate at the International Tourism Fair (ITB) Fair.

At the programme, vice-president of NRNA Ram Pratap Thapa underlined NRNA's commitment towards the development of Nepal and stressed on the need of dual citizenship and proper laws to attract investment from NRNs in Nepal.
