FM Yadav, tourism minister Yami interact with NRNs in Germany
Foreign minister Upendra Yadav and tourism minister Hisila Yami have
interacted with non-resident Nepalis (NRNs) in Germany, appreciating their
support in Nepal's development and urging them for
more investment in Nepal.
The two ministers expressed such views at an interaction programme
organised by the Non- Resident Nepali Association (NRNA)-Germany last
week, in Berlin.
Minister Yadav reiterated that Nepal will introduce the policy of dual
citizenship and issue an NRN law to create an investment friendly
environment, at the programme.
He also said a separate NRNA division had been set up at the foreign
ministry.
Minister Yadav had gone to Berlin to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the
establishment of formal diplomatic relations between Nepal and Germany.
Thanking the NRNs for donating trolleys for the International Airport in
Kathmandu, tourism minister Yami requested everyone's support to make
Nepal Tourism Year 2011 a grand success. She also appreciated the NRNs for
publishing the "NRN Nepal guide book" in partnership with NTB.
Yami was on visit to Berlin to participate at the International Tourism
Fair (ITB) Fair.
At the programme, vice-president of NRNA Ram Pratap Thapa underlined
NRNA's commitment towards the development of Nepal and stressed on the
need of dual citizenship and proper laws to attract investment from NRNs
in Nepal.
Ganesh Prasad Dhakal, Chargé d´Affaires at the Nepali Embassy in
