Nepal takes part in Dhaka Travel Mart

Tourism related organizations of Nepal took part in the sixth edition of Dhaka Travel Mart 2009, which was organised by The Bangladesh Monitor at Winter Garden of Dhaka Sheraton Hotel from 12 - 14 March 2009.

A total of 43 companies from seven countries including Nepal participated in the three-day long travel mart which includes National Tourism Organizations (NTOs), Airlines, Tour Operators, Hotels, Travel Trades and Financial Institutions. Nepal Tourism Board participated with Satyam Tours& Travels, states a press release issued by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).

Singapore, Thailand, Malyasia, UAE, Kuwait and the host country Bangladesh were among other countries that participated in the mart.

About 17,000 visitors visited and interacted with different participating companies during the 3 day long mart. Most of the participating companies offered special packages including reduced airfares.

"Many Bangladeshi visitors wanted to visit Nepal and enquired about the visa formalities, safety and security, accessibility by air as well as by land and destinations including the new ones," added the release. nepalnews.com Mar 16 09
